Lancaster University staff and students raise funds for Abaseen

Abaseen would like to thank the staff and students at Lancaster University, who recently raised £900 for Abaseen’s floods appeal. Funds were raised through means of a cake stall, with all money to go directly to helping the victims of the Pakistan floods disaster.

Helen Bingley and Inayat Munshi, CEO and Trustee of Abaseen Foundation respectively, went to receive the funds on behalf of the charity. Dr Sayjda Talib — Senior Teaching Fellow and Director of Student Experience at Lancaster University Management School — presented them with the cheque for £900, as pictured above.

During the meeting, Abaseen representatives also discussed projects of mutual interest with the Lancaster University team. It was decided that this was the first of many meetings to come, and the start of a working partnership to benefit those in Pakistan facing extreme adversity.
